Synchronicity

January 7th, 2007 (04:11 pm)

A few people have been talking about getting some sort of online calendar running so that we can better organise events and so everyone can see whats going on when.

I've found a site called calendars.net which seems to have the powers we need, take a look at http://my.calendars.net/leorn/ its a test calendar I set up so have a go at using it and see what you think.

To view, edit or add an event you need to log in, your browser should come up with a log in dialog use:

Username: live
Password: journal

Have a go and tell me what you think

edit: I've changed it so you have to log in to view the calendar, I will probably change the password and give it to people in a more secure fashion so we can put contact details on the events we create for more info without having punks attack us with spam but for the moment the above username/password combo will work

The World of Warcraft

November 30th, 2006 (06:49 pm)
current mood: Failing a will save
current song: Nobuo Uematsu - Hymn of the Fayth

I just keep making posts today, well I guess that has somthing to do with not going home for more than afew hours in  like a week.  Anyway now that I have placated the Dark Elf Pope (not to be confused with the Battlepope) I thought I'd post up a large gallary of what has been my obsession over the last 2 years that being World of Warcraft.

I started playing just before the christmas just after WoW came out some two years ago and it has taken me this long to make enough will saves to not dedicate a rather unreasonable amount of hours to its shining glory although with the expansion coming in a little over a month I doubt my leave of absence from Azeroth will be a long one.  Currently I play a character name Keraja on Khaz'goroth, if you also have a character there send me a message some time, unless your allinance that is, then could you please stand still with your back to me about 30 yards away?

Anyways during my journeys I have amassed a large amount of shots of the world and its interesting inhabitants, perhapse some of you will be interested to see where I spent the last couple of years.

Edit: Rearanged the WoW pic so people who arent interested in WoW would have a couple of things to look at

Its the Dark Elf Pope!

November 30th, 2006 (06:16 pm)

And so he comes forth from the shadows!

The story of how I first encountered the Pope is a strange one, I was eating bacon eggs and pancakes, perhaps it was this combination of stange foods that provoked him or possibly he was just close by and I was unlucky enough to stumble upon him.  His approch was yet one could feel every step he took into our existence from whatever lightless place he had up untill now resided, however he sliped through to this realm in the guise of a humble felineand is now here to stay sowing terror and his own twisted version of righteoussness throught the world.

PS you may notice the authors self portrat in the upper right hand corner

Its like a dream

November 30th, 2006 (05:54 pm)
current mood: Reminiscent
current song: DDR - BAD BOY BILL - Stomp To My Beat

So we went to dreamworld at the expense of Tryarsesex (where edemanedeman and myself work) and I came back with some photos which it is now my duty to post.  The first ride we went on was the cyclone, we got there almost as soon as the park opened and it was still quite a long line.

The second ride we went for was The Tower of Terror, not too terrifying but I found it to be somewhat exilarating, or at least it would have been if it wasnt over almost before it began.

Between the last picture and the final one I have there was the great wettening with alot of water otherwise known as the log ride, the amount of water heaped on to me be both the ride and mainly by the other person in my log saturated me so completely that I still feel slightly moist from the experience even now.

Anyway the last ride I have a photo of is from the Wipeout, possibly I should have posted this photo first as it shows our group of the day, from left to right we have
Dangerous Dave:  The instigator of the whole cardboard gladiator incident eariler realyed,
Adrian:  Who took some other photos I may post later,
my techincolour self:  The funny face I'm pulling is because I'm chewing gum, we all had some but several of us lost it in the heat of this ride,
edemanedeman:  Having no faith in his harness to restrain him has an expression of pure terror at the sight before him
Alex:  Son of the big boss
Kriz:  Who is fantastically welthy and has marble pillars all round his home which is guarded by a centurian

As you may be able to tell from the pics, as the same four people are in all the pics, that was our group for the day but we met up with Alex and Kriz (he also has a waterfall and palm trees) for lunch and a couple of rides in the afternoon. All in all it was a good day and wait... whats that behind me!!!

The beach

November 22nd, 2006 (11:34 pm)
sleepy

current mood: sleepy
current song: Hi Tack - Say Say Say

raiven_phoenixRaiven posted a rather comprehensive list of our exploits on the weekend although she she may have left out afew key points such as the fact that we both bought a rather large bag of chocs/lollies that we later combined into a mega lump of unstopable sweetness.  Also there were some rather boring pictures that people may or may not be interested in.

PS I promise the Dark Elf Pope is still on his way

Cardboard gladiator

November 7th, 2006 (08:45 pm)
current mood: Gladitorial
current song: Dance Dance Revolution - TSUGARU

So it was melbourne cup day today and by a combination of strange events I ended up as our companies gladiator for the duration of the race. What started as a simple cardboard that came to me for refuge after being forsaken by its creator (Dangerous Dave) turned somehow into the beginings of a gladiator helmet

You may not be able to see it clearly but my helmet is branded with the symbol of our work place.

The great imperial armourer of the Holy Triasx Empire (Darth Sidewage) decided that such a helm should not go unadorned so a plume made of matching materials was soon manufactured. Also the shield with which I was to defend our borders was to made more functional with the addition of a flimsy strap.

The senate later voted that a screwdriver was an insufficient weapon and a sword was subsequently manufactured to complete the set, also the shield was adorned with an equine avatar to better represent the spectacle of the day.

Unfortunately due to hasty construction the swords hilt later failed owing to its rapid construction under pressure allowing the barbarian hordes to sack Rome and take all our p4at l3wts, well all except the box of chocolates I won for having the stupidest hat.

Stay tuned for the next action packed episode "The Dark Elf Pope" coming to a live journal near you.
